Richard Ashplant, Managing Director, and founder of the Company over 30 years ago. Began his career in the joinery trade as a bench joiner and soon developed this into site joinery

A family man, Richard likes to spend any spare time relaxing with his family and friends or getting out and enjoying beautiful Guernsey on his bike.

JAMIE SELLWOOD

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Jamie has been a quantity surveyor in the UK for over 20 years working for sub-contractors, main contractors, volume house builders, chartered surveyors and private clients.

Jamie enjoys walking his dog Floyd on the island, and is always open to an offer of a round of golf!

CRAIG MAHIEU

CARPENTER & FOREMAN

Craig re-joined the Company that he had been part of for six years in March 2020 when he heard Richard was recruiting again after having run his own successful carpentry and general building business for the past five years. A very experienced, qualified carpenter who likes to be involved in all aspects of the industry.

ALISON TORODE

OFFICE MANAGER (ADMIN, FINANCE & HR)

Alison joined the company in October 2021 and is a dedicated team member, known for her strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail. She plays a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of the business. Her responsibilities include managing all accounts procedures, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers, and overseeing invoicing processes – helping the company meet all financial obligations. 

Alison is also the first point of contact for many client enquiries, providing a helpful and professional presence. In addition to her finance and administrative responsibilities, she is actively involved in the company’s human resources functions. 

Outside of work, Alison leads a busy life caring for relatives. In her free time, she enjoys creative crafts and has embraced a fun way to stay active – riding her electric bike. 

HARRISON GREENHALF

TRAINEE QUANTITY SURVEYOR

After completing a successful work experience placement in March 2024, Harrison was offered a full-time role at the company as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, officially joining the team in July 2024. Although new to the industry, Harrison is eager to develop his knowledge and gain hands-on experience as he learns the intricacies of the construction sector. 

As well as being keen to learn about the construction industry, Harrison also uses Social Media handles to grow the company’s outreach into the community, as well as to advertise work for the company.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, often taking strolls through town, as well as taking their dog on long walks everywhere on the island.
